Shift: - Days and Nights ($5.00 night shift differential) - 12-hour shifts per week
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Medical/Surgical Floor team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, vital signs, and overall well-being.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' medical histories and current needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist with diagnostic tests, surgical procedures, and other medical interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of observations, treatments, and outcomes.
- Provide compassionate support and address patients' and families' concerns and questions.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Participate in continuous education and professional development to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical/surgical nursing setting preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- BLS/ACLS certification required.
