Acute Registered Nurse (RN) - Full-Time

MLee Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York to play a critical role in delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities for a Registered Nurse:

Patient Care:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established policies and protocols.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to interventions.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Advocacy:

  • Advocate for patients' rights and ensure that ethical and legal standards of care are maintained.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and their families, addressing concerns and providing emotional support.

Education and Counseling:

  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
  • Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and documentation requirements.

Quality Improvement:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Professional Development / Compliance:

  • Stay current with nursing practices, regulations, and technological advancements.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures.
  • Maintain licensure and certifications required by the New York State Board of Nursing.

Registered Nurse Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required based on specialty and employer preferences.
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but may vary based on the specific role.
