MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a community-based Clinic to recruit a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team.

We are seeking a well-skilled, highly productive team player to work with their program.

Job Description:
FULL-TIME Immediate need for a PTA to work with patients in an outpatient clinic. Must have a current professional license and ready to go to work. Great work environment and flexibility. Benefits include group health insurance, retirement plan, and PTO. Also seeking a part-time COTA. Must have a professional license and ready to go to work.Responsibilities:
The qualified individual is responsible for but not limited to: patient care under the direction and plan of a licensed Physical Therapist, attendance and participation in staff meetings, in-services, program development, quality improvement activities and marketing responsibilities for the clinic as delegated by Clinic Manager. Initiates and maintains open lines of communication between Management, the Support Staff, clients, referral sources and community members.Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant or eligible for licensure in the state of employment.
  • Clinical experience is recommended; however, new graduates are eligible.
  • Participation in continuing clinical education is recommended.
  • Possess strong clinical skills/knowledge and the ability to direct self and staff through all aspects of a basic treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are recommended.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.

License or Certification:

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in NY(Required)

Other Qualifications:Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.Holds board certification in clinical specialty area.Advanced degree in a health care field.Active participation within professional organization.Experience and/or strong interest preferred in practice areas applicable to this setting. The candidate must be willing to train for and workin various practice areas including inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient care according to department need. We are seeking individualswho have had experience in working with a culturally diverse population.
