Make a Difference as a Physical Therapist in Endicott, NY (Hospital Setting)

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist committed to helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence? We are seeking a skilled PT to join our hospital-based rehabilitation team in Endicott, New York. In this role, you will play an essential part in providing care for patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, ensuring they receive the expert rehabilitation they need to return to their best selves.

What You’ll Do

Conduct Patient Assessments

  • Evaluate patients' physical abilities, review their medical history, and develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on their specific needs.

Provide Therapeutic Interventions

  • Implement a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including exercise programs, manual therapy, functional mobility training, and equipment-assisted interventions to improve strength, mobility, and function.

Monitor Patient Progress

  • Regularly track patient progress, review clinical outcomes, and adjust treatment plans to ensure that rehabilitation goals are met efficiently and safely.

Collaborate with Healthcare Teams

  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to provide coordinated, holistic care in a hospital setting.

Guide and Educate Patients and Caregivers

  • Offer education and guidance to patients and their caregivers on exercises, at-home programs, injury prevention, and lifestyle changes to ensure continued progress beyond discharge.

Encourage Wellness and Mobility

  • Advocate for physical activity and early mobilization, focusing on long-term wellness and injury prevention for every patient.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
  • New graduates encouraged to apply

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in New York State
  • Certifications in specialties such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or neuro are a plus

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting is preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, problem-solving, and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
