Qualifications:

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
EXPERIENCE - 5+ years, 2+ years management experience
Responsibilities:
• The Cytotechnologist 1 performs screening of gynecological cytology specimens and renders an appropriate diagnosis, triages abnormal gynecologic cases to pathologists
• Pre-screens non-gynecologic cytology cases for pathologist review
• Participates in other quality control initiatives and assists as needed in a variety of laboratory functions
• Completes screening and computer entry of diagnosis for gynecological and non-gynecological cases
• Participates in cytology departments quality assurance and quality control program
• Contributes to the education of others and continues own education
