About Us:
MLR is on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced Polysomnography Technician to join our dedicated team. As a Sleep Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting sleep studies, monitoring patients throughout the night, and gathering precise data to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate polysomnography equipment to ensure precise measurements and patient comfort.
- Conduct overnight sleep studies, monitoring and documenting physiological parameters such as brain activity, heart rate, and respiratory patterns.
- Prepare patients for sleep studies by explaining procedures, addressing any concerns, and ensuring a smooth experience.
- Continuously monitor patient data during the study, making necessary adjustments to equipment and ensuring patient well-being.
- Analyze and interpret data from sleep studies to detect patterns and identify potential sleep disorders.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or equivalent credentials.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Polysomnography, Respiratory Therapy, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with sleep studies and proficiency in using polysomnography equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia, and restless legs syndrome.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
