Qualifications:
- Must be qualified as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in accordance with New York State Department.
- NYS SED Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in standard laboratory methodologies (required).
- Minimum 1 year as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist IV (preferred).
- Minimum 2 years as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist III (preferred).
- Conduct and oversee complex laboratory analyses and procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in laboratory instrumentation, methodologies, and troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to uphold the highest standards in laboratory testing.
- Collaborate with the quality team to develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Manage and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring they are calibrated, validated, and in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to laboratory equipment and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Provide training to laboratory staff on new technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
- Facilitate continuous education programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the laboratory team.
- Work closely with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services into patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute technical insights and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of laboratory processes, procedures, and results.
