Your Role as a Respiratory Therapist:

• Deliver Life-Sustaining Care: Administer treatments like oxygen therapy, nebulized medication, and non-invasive ventilation to support patients with respiratory distress, chronic lung disease, or post-operative needs.
• Diagnostic Testing & Monitoring: Perform arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests, and monitor patient vitals to guide treatment decisions.
• Collaborate Across Care Teams: Work side by side with physicians, nurses, and other allied health staff to create tailored treatment plans.
• Educate & Empower: Help patients and families understand respiratory conditions, manage equipment (CPAP, inhalers, etc.), and maintain therapy compliance at home.
• Ensure High Standards: Uphold safety, sanitation, and documentation practices to ensure consistent, quality care for every patient.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist in New York State
• NBRC Certification (CRT or RRT) required
• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• New graduates encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with modern respiratory equipment and protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
