Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups utilizing standardized tests alongside observational assessments.
• Create individualized treatment plans addressing immediate and long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on areas such as communication, fluency, language, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nursing staff, physicians, families, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and families to encourage progress beyond the clinic.
• Conduct speech therapy evaluations and interventions occasionally in an inpatient setting, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapy process.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing education and collaborative practice to refine your skills and enhance patient care.

Education

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
