Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Therapy Management: Ensure the safe, effective, and optimal use of medications for patients by overseeing and managing their therapy regimens.
  • Collaborative Consultation: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to address medication-related concerns, optimize treatment plans, and manage drug interactions and side effects.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with critical information on proper medication use, adherence strategies, and possible side effects to improve therapeutic outcomes.
  • Medication Reconciliation: Perform thorough medication reviews during admissions, transfers, and discharges to minimize errors and ensure continuity of care.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain adherence to all relevant regulations, including those from the DEA, FDA, and state authorities, to uphold the highest safety and quality standards in pharmacy operations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (RPh) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active and valid license to practice as a Clinical Pharmacist in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding of medication management, DEA/FDA regulations, and excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
