Are you a licensed Physical Therapist ready to support adult patients on their path to recovery? We’re hiring a dedicated Outpatient Physical Therapist to provide high-quality care in a patient-focused rehabilitation clinic located in North Central New Mexico. Your Role as a Physical Therapist
- Evaluate patients with physical impairments and develop customized treatment plans
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques including mobility training, strength building, and pain management interventions
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, cryotherapy, and manual therapy
- Document all evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in electronic medical records in accordance with clinical and legal standards
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to coordinate holistic patient care
- Educate patients and family members on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies
- Supervise and support Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehab aides
- Maintain equipment safety and adhere to infection control protocols
- Participate in continuing education and departmental quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (DPT, MPT, or BPT)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current New Mexico license to practice Physical Therapy
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Experience:
- Open to new graduates; previous outpatient or musculoskeletal rehab experience preferred
Skills:
- Strong assessment, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation standards
- Passion for helping adult patients achieve their functional goals
