Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to lead by example and support excellence in patient care? We’re seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee clinical operations, guide nursing staff, and promote safety, service, and satisfaction during scheduled shifts. Based in North Central New Mexico, this position is perfect for nurses with strong critical thinking skills and a passion for clinical leadership.
In this full-time role, you’ll help manage nursing care delivery across a multidisciplinary team while advancing operational goals, ensuring quality standards, and supporting a culture of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide shift-based leadership and coordination for acute care nursing teams
- Support safe, evidence-based care by serving as a clinical resource for nurses and support staff
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and department leaders to streamline patient care
- Assign nursing responsibilities based on staff competency and patient acuity
- Monitor staff compliance with safety protocols, infection prevention, and hospital procedures
- Perform clinical rounds, facilitate care transitions, and respond to patient concerns
- Participate in incident reporting, service recovery, and quality assurance initiatives
- Lead emergency response efforts during Rapid Response and Code Blue events
- Assist with onboarding, training, evaluations, and coaching of nursing personnel
- Support hospital goals for patient satisfaction, safety benchmarks, and regulatory readiness
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (BSN preferred)
Licensure & Certifications:
- Valid RN license in New Mexico (or compact eligible)
- BLS required (AHA)
- ACLS required (or within 6 months)
- PALS/NRP/TNCC or CPI as applicable to department
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in clinical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience is highly valued
Skills:
- Excellent clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor and support nursing staff across multiple specialties
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient in EMR systems and hospital documentation standards
