Qualifications for Med Surg RN: 

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing  
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license  
• BLS certification required or within 2 weeks of hire date  
• All other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire. 

Key Responsibilities for Med Surg RN: 

• Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs. 
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes. 
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders. 
• Document patient care activities accurately and thoroughly. 
• Engage in continuous learning to stay current with nursing best practices
