Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of Med-Surg nurses, offering guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Ensure high-quality patient care by ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and staff to enhance patient outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage staffing levels, schedules, and resources to maintain efficient patient care and operations.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and cultivate a positive team culture.
• Oversee patient assessments, documentation, and ensure timely and accurate reporting of patient information.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain).
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Med-Surg or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate and patient-focused, with a commitment to providing quality care.
• BSN preferred; MSN or Nurse Leadership certification is a plus.
