Labor and Delivery RN – Registered Nurse

MLR is excited to welcome a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to our client’s dedicated Labor and Delivery team. This position, based in a vibrant community, focuses on providing exceptional care to expectant mothers, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both the mother and newborn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients throughout labor and delivery, tracking vital signs and fetal heart rates to ensure optimal safety.
- Administer direct patient care, including medications, pain relief, and assistance with deliveries.
- Educate patients and their families on the labor and delivery process, care options, and essential postpartum care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth and positive birth experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information throughout all stages of labor and delivery.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies or complications, following established protocols.
- Ensure a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control guidelines and hospital standards.
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico RN license (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS.
- Strong clinical expertise with the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
