Are you a certified CT Technologist looking to expand your clinical impact in an outpatient oncology setting? We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join a collaborative care team at a respected cancer center in North Central New Mexico. This full-time position offers the opportunity to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while contributing to patient-focused cancer care.

Key Responsibilities – CT Technologist 

  • Perform CT and general radiologic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols 
  • Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety 
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver coordinated outpatient oncology care 
  • Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning accurately, and administering contrast when needed 
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures, especially those with complex medical needs or receiving cancer treatments 
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, functionality, and regulatory documentation 
  • Assist with ECGs, lab specimen collection, and medication administration within the scope of licensure 
  • Complete patient registration, documentation, and PACS imaging uploads accurately and efficiently 
  • Recognize and report abnormal findings or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel 
  • Support infection control standards and ensure compliance with Joint Commission safety requirements 

 

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program 

Licensure & Certifications: 

  • ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required 
  • Current New Mexico Radiology License required 
  • ARRT CT Certification and NM CT License required (or obtained within 12 months of hire) 
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required 
  • Medical Assistant Certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire) 

Experience: 

  • 1+ year experience in diagnostic radiology (clinical training may apply) 
  • Preferred: Experience in outpatient settings or oncology care 

Skills: 

  • Proficiency with radiology software systems (Cerner, PACS, Athena, eClinicalWorks) 
  • Ability to perform patient registration and obtain vitals accurately 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Knowledge of radiographic positioning, radiation safety, and quality control 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
