Are you a certified CT Technologist looking to expand your clinical impact in an outpatient oncology setting? We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join a collaborative care team at a respected cancer center in North Central New Mexico. Key Responsibilities – CT Technologist
- Perform CT and general radiologic procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
- Operate imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver coordinated outpatient oncology care
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, positioning accurately, and administering contrast when needed
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, especially those with complex medical needs or receiving cancer treatments
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, functionality, and regulatory documentation
- Assist with ECGs, lab specimen collection, and medication administration within the scope of licensure
- Complete patient registration, documentation, and PACS imaging uploads accurately and efficiently
- Recognize and report abnormal findings or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
- Support infection control standards and ensure compliance with Joint Commission safety requirements
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
Licensure & Certifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required
- Current New Mexico Radiology License required
- ARRT CT Certification and NM CT License required (or obtained within 12 months of hire)
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association required
- Medical Assistant Certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
Experience:
- 1+ year experience in diagnostic radiology (clinical training may apply)
- Preferred: Experience in outpatient settings or oncology care
Skills:
- Proficiency with radiology software systems (Cerner, PACS, Athena, eClinicalWorks)
- Ability to perform patient registration and obtain vitals accurately
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of radiographic positioning, radiation safety, and quality control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
