Are you an experienced RN leader with a strong background in obstetrics and maternal-child care? We’re hiring a Women’s Services Nurse Manager to oversee Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care within a hospital system known for delivering exceptional care across North Central New Mexico. In this full-time role, you’ll drive clinical operations, support staff development, and ensure consistent, high-quality care for mothers and infants.

Primary Responsibilities – Women’s Health Nurse Manager
- Direct the day-to-day clinical and operational activities for women’s health units including L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery
- Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing and support staff while fostering a supportive, collaborative team culture
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and clinical best practices
- Collaborate with medical staff, OB providers, and executive leadership to ensure outstanding patient care and satisfaction
- Oversee performance improvement plans, staff education programs, and unit quality measures
- Develop and maintain effective staffing plans, manage schedules, and optimize resource utilization
- Lead initiatives in safety, infection control, and Joint Commission preparedness
- Serve as a key resource for clinical decision-making and problem-solving on the unit
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact licensure
- BLS required
- Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing, Inpatient Obstetrics, or Nurse Leadership preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of clinical nursing experience in OB, L&D, or postpartum
- Minimum 2 years of nurse management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting
Desired Skills:
- Deep knowledge of maternal-child nursing care standards
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Ability to drive change and promote evidence-based practice
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities
