Nurse Manager - Labor and Delivery

MLR.org is excited to offer a full-time, permanent opportunity for a Nurse Manager to lead the Labor and Delivery (L&D) team at a premier healthcare facility near the scenic town of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations of the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and quality.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of nurses, fostering a collaborative culture of support, professional growth, and clinical excellence.
  • Policy Implementation & Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures in alignment with healthcare regulations and best practices to ensure safe, effective care delivery.
  • Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor patient outcomes and key performance metrics, driving initiatives that enhance the quality of care and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care and seamless interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Staff Management: Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, and performance evaluations, ensuring a well-balanced, motivated, and high-performing team.
  • Documentation & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, maintaining compliance with all hospital protocols, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Active RN license in New Mexico is required.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery or Medical-Surgical setting is required.
  • Certifications: Current ACLS and CPR certifications are required; additional L&D or leadership certifications are preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to quality patient care and team development is essential.
