MLR is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our client’s vibrant rehabilitation team. In this position, you will collaborate closely with physical therapists to implement treatment plans, playing a vital role in helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence. Your efforts will significantly influence patients’ recovery journeys and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities for the Physical Therapist Assistant:
- Assist physical therapists in executing personalized treatment plans that include therapeutic exercises and various interventions.
- Provide direct therapy using hands-on techniques and a range of therapeutic modalities.
- Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens, home care practices, and strategies to enhance mobility.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatments to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Work in conjunction with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure that all therapy equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and in excellent working condition.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all hospital policies and protocols.
Qualifications for the PTA:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited institution (required).
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico (required).
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation modalities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
