Nursing Manager Job Description 

• Lead and oversee clinical operations within the Pediatric department, ensuring quality and efficiency. 
• Develop and implement best practices, training programs, and care protocols to optimize patient outcomes. 
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital leadership to drive excellence in pediatric care. 
• Manage staff scheduling, departmental budgeting, and workflow improvements for operational success. 
• Foster a culture of mentorship, accountability, and continuous learning among nursing staff. 
• Monitor and improve patient safety measures, compliance, and clinical performance metrics. 
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and family-centered support. 
• Oversee regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and performance improvement initiatives. 

Nursing Manager Qualifications 

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program; BSN preferred. 
• Current RN license in New Mexico or Compact state. 
• BLS, NRP, and either PALS or ENPC certifications required. 
• National certification in Pediatrics or Nursing Leadership is a plus. 
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Pediatrics or Women’s Services, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. 
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills with a passion for team development. 
• Experience in healthcare administration, interdisciplinary team collaboration, and process improvement.
