MLR is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our client’s professional rehabilitation team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with physical therapists to implement effective treatment plans, supporting patients in their journey toward recovery. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping patients restore mobility and improve their quality of life.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in delivering treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and various interventions.
- Provide hands-on therapy using manual techniques and a variety of modalities.
- Educate patients and their families on exercise routines, home care strategies, and methods to improve mobility and functionality.
- Track patient progress, document responses to therapy, and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with the therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain and sanitize therapy equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or related field from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
