Position Overview: 

MLR.org is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our client's distinguished healthcare team. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert anesthesia care across a diverse range of surgical and procedural settings, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort. Your advanced proficiency in anesthesia management will be instrumental in conducting comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, administering anesthesia, and closely monitoring patients throughout their procedures, delivering exceptional care with precision and compassion.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Anesthesia Administration: Safely administer anesthesia to patients for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Pre-Anesthesia Assessment: Evaluate patients' medical history, conduct physical exams, and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
  • Intraoperative Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures to ensure stability.
  • Post-Anesthesia Care: Oversee patients' recovery from anesthesia, managing pain and monitoring for complications.
  • Patient Education: Inform patients and families about the anesthesia process, risks, and post-procedure care.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Respond quickly to anesthesia-related emergencies, providing necessary interventions and support.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Current New Mexico and federal DEA certificate.
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state of New Mexico.
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.
  • Current certification as a nurse anesthetist from the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
  • Current New Mexico CRNA license.
