• Participates as a member of the OR team, preparing for surgery, setting up surgical instruments and equipment, assisting in surgery and maintaining surgical suites.
• Shares in OR suite cleaning, preparation, use and maintenance of specialized equipment & supplies used for surgical procedures.
• Maintains sterilization techniques and disposal of hazardous waste.
• Uses surgical instruments and knowledge of the step-by-step sequences for surgical procedures.
• Handles surgical specimens.
• Files and copies path and procedure chart reports.
