Qualifications for Ultrasound Technologist:

• Active certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Skilled in performing abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular ultrasound exams
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures, providing explanations to ensure comfort and understanding
• Operate ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of the abdomen, pelvis, heart, blood vessels, and fetal development
• Analyze images to detect any abnormalities or health concerns
• Document patient procedures and findings accurately
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and imaging accuracy
