Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and craft personalized care strategies
  • Diagnose and manage acute, episodic, or chronic conditions solo or in collaboration with physicians (as per your credentials)
  • Instruct patients and families on prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions branded within your professional scope

  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide cohesive, comprehensive care
  • Accurately document patient interactions in electronic medical records (EMR)

 

Education and Certification Essentials

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

 

Mandatory Certifications

  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Nebraska
  • National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain within 90 days)
