Certified Surgical Technologist Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist - CST
• Experience in the OR preferred.
• Acute Care or Hospital experience preferred.

Certified Surgical Technologist What you will do: 

• Set up and sterilize the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and sterile.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by passing instruments, handling specimens, and managing sterile fields.
• Position and drape patients on the operating table, ensuring comfort and maintaining sterile conditions.
• Monitor and maintain sterile instrument and supply counts to prevent loss or contamination.
• Provide support to the surgical team by anticipating needs and responding quickly during procedures.
• Assist in transferring patients to recovery areas and help clean and prepare the operating room for subsequent procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols, infection control practices, and regulations to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
• Record pertinent information during procedures, including counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
