Social Worker Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Social Worker, you will work directly with individuals and families to provide mental health assessments, case management, and therapeutic interventions. Your role will be integral in delivering high-quality care that addresses the emotional and psychological needs of clients facing various challenges, including mental health conditions, trauma, and life stressors.

 

Social Worker Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Master's degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
    • Current state licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW, LCSW, or similar).
    • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, social work practices, and case management.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Experience with behavioral health assessments and crisis intervention.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality, client-centered care.

Social Worker Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health assessments and screenings for clients, including adults, children, and families.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the healthcare team.
  • Offer individual and group counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute emotional or behavioral issues.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, psychologists, nurses) to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Assist clients in accessing community resources, including housing, employment, and social services.
