What You’ll Do

  • Perform Comprehensive Ultrasound Exams
    Execute a variety of imaging studies, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams, with diagnostic accuracy.
  • Operate Equipment with Precision
    Adjust and control ultrasound equipment settings to ensure optimal image quality tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Support Patient Comfort and Understanding
    Guide patients through procedures with professionalism, compassion, and clear communication to reduce anxiety and ensure safety.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams
    Partner with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide timely, accurate interpretations and support clinical decisions.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation
    Record patient data and imaging results clearly in the EMR system, ensuring compliance with medical and privacy standards.
  • Uphold Clinical and Safety Standards
    Adhere to HIPAA, AIUM, and facility-specific protocols for safety, confidentiality, and quality assurance.
  • Ensure Equipment Functionality
    Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep ultrasound systems operating at peak performance.
  • Commit to Continuous Improvement
    Stay up to date with evolving sonographic technology and best practices through continuing education and professional development.

Qualifications

 

Education:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

Certification & Licensure:

  • Current certification through ARDMS or ARRT(S).
  • Nebraska state licensure as required.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound imaging principles.
  • Technical proficiency in sonographic equipment and digital systems.
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexible availability, including possible weekend or on-call shifts.
