MLR is seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing, supportive team. Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nebraska.
- BLS certification within 30 days of employment
- One year of experience preferred
Speech Language Pathologist Key Responsibilities:
- Provides screening, evaluation, and therapeutic interventions for patients referred by physicians or other appropriate sources.
- Administers and scores standardized tests to assess patients’ communication skills.
- Prepares detailed written reports following assessments, including interpretation of results, patient education, and recommendations.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans as prescribed by the physician, with progress notes documented after each patient session.
- Maintains regular communication with physicians to update them on patient status and progress.
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills when working with patients of all ages and diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Possesses strong knowledge of the medical implications of various disorders, including stroke, traumatic brain injury, tracheostomy/ventilator dependence, language delays, articulation/motor disorders, and swallowing disorders.
