Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings and formulate personalized treatment plans
- Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall functionality
- Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehab professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate families and patients about therapeutic objectives, discharge planning, and at-home exercise routines
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and patient progress as per facility and regulatory standards
- Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive patient care strategies
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or related degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
- State certification as a Physical Therapist
- Preferred: CPR certification
- Additional specialized certifications (e.g., neurological, geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
- Previous experience is highly desirable
