Med Surg Registered Nurse ( RN )

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Med Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a Med Surg RN, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive nursing care to patients admitted to the medical-surgical unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver quality patient-centered care, promote patient safety, and ensure positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients admitted to the medical-surgical unit.
  • Assess patient's condition, develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, administer medications, and assist with treatments and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care and maintain medical records.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and adhere to regulatory standards and protocols.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development by staying updated with current healthcare practices and attending relevant training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of [1] years of experience in a medical-surgical or acute care setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
