Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team. As a CRNA, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, including patient interviews and physical examinations, to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan.
• Administer various types of anesthesia, such as general, regional, and local, according to patient needs and surgical requirements.
• Monitor patient vital signs, fluid balance, and response to anesthesia during surgical procedures.
• Manage and adjust anesthesia levels, medications, and equipment during surgery to maintain patient stability and safety.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management, closely monitoring patients' recovery and ensuring appropriate pain relief.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient positioning and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team regarding the anesthesia plan, risks, and post-operative care.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthetist program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CRNA in an acute care or surgical setting.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles, medications, and equipment.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
