Director of Inpatient Nursing Services
Job Overview:
As the Director of Inpatient Nursing Services, you will oversee clinical and procedural units, including an 8-bed ICU, a 12-bed Med/Surg floor, and a 24-bed Med/Tele floor. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring adherence to policies, maintaining adequate staffing levels, managing supplies and equipment, and optimizing patient flow. Additionally, you will be accountable for budget management, fostering continuous quality improvement, facilitating staff professional development, and ensuring compliance with annual competency requirements. Regular communication with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other senior leaders is expected.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or compact state).
BLS certification is required within 30 days of hire; ACLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Demonstrated experience: 3-5 years in critical care nursing and 2-3 years in a leadership capacity.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential, along with meticulous organizational abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively across various departments.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 3-5 years of nursing experience in critical care units.
Leadership experience of at least 2-3 years (Supervisor, Manager, Director, etc.).
Bachelor’s degree is a prerequisite.
BLS & ACLS certifications are mandatory.
