Responsibilities:

• Prepare and organize the operating room with the necessary surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies for procedures.
• Assist the surgical team during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons and other team members.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.
• Handle specimens collected during surgery, ensuring accurate labeling and transportation for laboratory analysis.
• Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and supplies used.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within the surgical team.
