MRI Technologist

MLee Healthcare has been engaged by a leading healthcare provider in Charlotte to find talented, and motivated MRI Techs to join their growing team.

Incentives: Up-to $15k offered for sign-on & $5k relo package

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures following department protocols and standards
• Operate MRI Scanners and associated equipment proficiently
• Verify orders and consult with Radiologist when necessary
• Identify and assist patients, explain procedures
• Prepare patients, obtain and document medical history
• Administer IV contrast as per protocols, evaluate image quality
• Provide basic patient care, assist in emergencies
• Practice sterile technique, adhere to safety protocols
• Obtain medication or contrast material as directed
• Ensure radiation safety for self, patients, and staff
• Report equipment malfunctions, maintain work area
• Assist other medical personnel during MRI scans
• Maintain knowledge of MRI safety requirements
• Lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies
• Follow radiation safety guidelines to prevent exposure

Skills:

• Graduate of accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine
• Advanced registry in MRI required within one year of hire
• CPR certification required through AHA

Education:

• Graduate of accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology or active enrollment in ARMRIT or ARRT registry eligible program required.
