ICU Director Opportunity

We have been engaged by one of our clients in the region to help them recruit an ICU Director to help lead their growing team. Our client is a leading healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Their Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of highly skilled professionals. They are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients and are seeking an experienced ICU Director to lead our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. As the ICU Director, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the ICU, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the ICU, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of ICU nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to improve patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care practices, making necessary adjustments to maintain high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Manage the ICU budget, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
  • Facilitate professional development and continuing education opportunities for ICU staff.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license and/or relevant advanced practice certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of critical care nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of ICU protocols, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
