Job Summary: In the role of a Computed Tomography (CT)/Radiologic Technologist, you will conduct diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in diagnosing and treating patients. You will be operating CT and radiologic equipment, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring high-quality imaging results. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality CT and radiologic examinations.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort.
- Operate CT and radiologic equipment, following established protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate positioning of patients to obtain optimal images.
- Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Assist radiologists with the interpretation of images and provide necessary information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- Basic cross-training in CT modules preferred.
- ARRT certification required or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic and CT imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and positioning patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a hospital setting.
- Advanced certifications in CT imaging.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
