MLee Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist to step into a Director of Laboratory role at a beautiful and reputable hospital!
The Director of Laboratory Services under the direction of the Executive Director Ancillary Services and in conjunction with the Pathologists, assures strategic growth planning, service development, personnel management, and appropriate resource allocation to provide and enhance patient care.The Director keeps current with all regulatory compliance, and works with the legal department to manage contracts and legal activities related to the lab.Works with supervisory staff to provide adequate employee selection, training, scheduling and communication. Maintains technical competence and keeps technology and test menus current to meet the needs of the Medical staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Minimum: Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or Physical Science in compliance with CLIA standards for lab supervision.
Preferred: An advanced degree in a Healthcare related field such as a Masters in Laboratory Science or Healthcare Administration.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
ASCP or equivalent certification required
Montana State License
Minimum: Five years lab supervisory experience.
