CRTT - Respiratory Therapist 

MLR Healthcare is partnering with a reputable county hospital located just east of Kansas City, MO, to recruit a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist for a day shift position. This full-time role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about respiratory care and ready to make a positive impact on patient health.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide therapeutic respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy, following physician orders and established protocols.
• Diagnostic Testing: Conduct pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analyses, and other respiratory assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Ventilator Management: Monitor and manage ventilator settings, adjusting as needed and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, proper use of respiratory devices, and techniques for managing respiratory conditions at home.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.

CRTT - Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure: Active Missouri state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the NBRC; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience preferred, especially in a hospital setting.
