Pediatric Physical Therapist - PT

A local hospital has engaged MLee to recruit a Pediatric Physical Therapist. Our client has cultivated a patient-focused environment that thrives on providing the best care possible. Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am - 5:00 pm, with an additional weekend differential paid for weekend shifts.

Pediatric Physical Therapist Responsibilities:

  • Interview children and family members and use physical examinations to diagnose the source of children's movement difficulties.
  • Create unique, individualized treatment plans that outline the treatment goals and methods.
  • Helping children to learn to move their bodies correctly, make their movements less painful, increase the functions of injured body parts, and heal from injuries.
  • Assess patients and monitor their progress.
  • Use techniques such as functional training and exercise, medication, diet changes, and specialized equipment to treat and alleviate pain.
  • Coordinate a child's care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide expert consultations to schools and daycares.
  • Teach children and their families about safety and home exercises.

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure: Current Missouri physical therapy license or eligibility required
  • Certifications: Must know CPR
  • Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations
