Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist - Night Shift

MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist (MLT/MT) to join our team on the Night Shift. In this role, you will perform diagnostic testing based on physician orders under the supervision of the Clinical Director. The position requires expertise in maintaining laboratory equipment, conducting quality assessments, and effectively managing workloads. There may also be opportunities to mentor lab staff and students with approval from the Laboratory Director.
Key Responsibilities:

- Commit to continuous learning and stay updated on the latest advancements in the field.
- Perform venipuncture proficiently across all patient age groups to ensure high-quality specimens.
- Conduct accurate testing in designated laboratory departments, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control, documenting corrective actions, and making informed decisions regarding patient results.
- Process proficiency samples, document critical values, and ensure the confidentiality of patient results.
- Participate in competency testing and engage in professional development activities to maintain and enhance skills.
Requirements:
- Registered MLT/MT with valid credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and accurately interpreting results.
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients, medical staff, and customers effectively.
- Ability to work with patients of all ages, understanding their unique needs and limitations.
- Familiarity with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Self-motivated and able to work within established guidelines and protocols.
