What You’ll Do

Conduct Comprehensive Assessments

  • Evaluate each patient’s physical condition, mobility limitations, and medical status to develop customized treatment plans suited for acute care recovery.

Provide Evidence-Based Therapeutic Interventions

  • Deliver individualized therapy using techniques such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and mobility training to enhance function and promote healing.

Track and Adapt Plans of Care

  • Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust interventions to maximize recovery and support safe discharge goals.

Collaborate Across Care Teams

  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and fellow therapists to deliver coordinated care and ensure optimal outcomes within the hospital setting.

Educate and Empower Patients & Families

  • Provide training and guidance on home exercises, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies to support continued progress after discharge.

Promote Early Mobility and Recovery

  • Advocate for early mobilization to prevent complications and support overall wellness during the hospital stay.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent
  • New graduates encouraged to apply

Licensure & Certification:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Missouri
  • Specialty certifications in areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or neuro are a plus

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in an acute care or hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
