Director of Emergency Services - RN

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the emergency services department, ensuring the development and implementation of effective emergency response plans, policies, and procedures.

• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of emergency medical professionals, including paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, and support staff.

• Collaborate with local authorities, emergency management agencies, and other healthcare organizations to foster strong partnerships and promote a coordinated approach to emergency response.

• Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment of state-of-the-art emergency equipment, supplies, and technology to support efficient and effective operations.

• Develop and conduct training programs to ensure staff readiness and competency in emergency response protocols, disaster management, and life-saving techniques.

• Monitor and evaluate department performance metrics, implement quality improvement initiatives, and utilize data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in emergency medical services.

• Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and research in emergency medicine, incorporating them into the development and enhancement of emergency services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Current certification as an EMT-Paramedic or equivalent, with appropriate licensure.

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in emergency services, preferably within a healthcare setting.

• Strong knowledge of emergency medical services principles, protocols, and regulatory requirements.

• Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in emergency preparedness, response, and disaster management, with a thorough understanding of incident command systems.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in emergency management software systems and technologies.
