Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our medical team. The Surgical Technician will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, preparing surgical equipment and supplies, and maintaining a sterile operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating room and surgical instruments for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeon during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain a sterile environment during surgery
  • Prepare patients for surgery and transport them to and from the operating room
  • Clean and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Record patient information and maintain accurate medical records
  • Follow all safety and infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times

Requirements:

  • Completion of a surgical technology program (NBST)
  • Certified as a surgical technician (CST)
  • BLS certification at the time of hire
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
