Medical Laboratory Manager
Schedule: Monday-Friday, one weekend per month
One night per week, holiday rotation

Overview:
The manager will be responsible for workflow coordination, integrating new technologies to improve laboratory efficiency, and maintaining accurate and timely reporting of results. Additionally, this role includes budget management, inventory control, and promoting a safe and effective working environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential to collaborate with healthcare professionals and address any issues within the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and staff management.
- Ensure adherence to quality control procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Implement new technologies and improve operational efficiencies.
- Manage the laboratory budget and control inventory.
- Ensure accurate and timely test result reporting.
- Foster a safe and collaborative work environment.
- Lead and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Certification in MLT or MLS.
- Certification with ASCP or AMT.
- 3-5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
- 1+ year of leadership experience in a laboratory setting.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory regulations and quality control standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to pass a Minnesota background check and fingerprinting.
- TB test required within the first 4 weeks of employment.
