Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Supervisor - MLR.org
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Supervisor to join our team. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage and guide a team of sonographers while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and service. As the supervisor, you'll play an essential part in overseeing sonography procedures, supporting the team’s growth, and ensuring that the department runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers by providing training, mentoring, and guidance to ensure top-quality care
- Coordinate and manage the scheduling of sonography exams, ensuring efficient operations and timely service delivery
- Perform ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to review and interpret ultrasound results, contributing to accurate diagnoses
- Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory standards, and best practices in the sonography department
- Oversee the maintenance and functionality of ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in good working order
- Review patient records and documentation for accuracy and thoroughness
- Cultivate a supportive and collaborative team culture, promoting ongoing professional development and learning
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Active RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in diagnostic sonography, with a minimum of 2 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of sonography techniques, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively manage multiple tasks
