Travel LTC CNA - $40 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while promoting independence and dignity.
• Monitor and record vital signs, weight, and other health-related information to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
• Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing staff or supervisor promptly.
• Administer medications under the direction of licensed nursing staff, adhering to established protocols and ensuring residents' safety.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement personalized care plans for each resident.
• Foster a positive and compassionate environment for residents, providing emotional support and companionship.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living space for residents, including making beds, organizing personal belongings, and tidying rooms.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities, recreational programs, and social events to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulations, including infection control and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from an accredited program.
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficient communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Empathetic and compassionate demeanor, with a genuine interest in caring for the elderly population.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent observation skills.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and infection control practices.
