Deliver Patient Care:

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and review patient medical histories.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Order and interpret lab work and imaging to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Provide both urgent and long-term care management with a focus on wellness.

Patient Education and Support:

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Promote preventative healthcare through screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle guidance.
  • Support patient independence and confidence through clear, compassionate communication.

Collaborate with Healthcare Teams:

  • Partner with physicians, specialists, nurses, and support staff for coordinated care.
  • Contribute clinical insights in case reviews and collaborative treatment planning.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff and fellow team members.

Monitor Progress & Ensure Compliance:

  • Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Document all patient encounters, treatments, and outcomes in EHR systems.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and follow HIPAA and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Maine.
  • Board Certification (e.g., FNP, AGNP, etc.) required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in outpatient, inpatient, or community health preferred (new grads welcome).
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
