Nuclear Medicine Supervisor

Job Summary: MLee Healthcare is seeking a passionate and dynamic Nuclear Medicine Supervisor. The Nuclear Medicine Supervisor manages the daily operations of the nuclear medicine department. This role ensures the efficient and safe delivery of high-quality patient care and offers leadership and guidance to a team of nuclear medicine technologists.
Nuclear Medicine Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, including quality control.
- Oversees and ensures compliance with the Radiation Safety Program and ALARA standards for the nuclear medicine department.
- Adheres strictly to radiation safety protocols.
- Optimizes imaging devices to guarantee high-quality images.
- Ensures efficient workflow within the department.
- Exhibits strong leadership skills and supervises staff in delivering patient care.
- Supervises and performs high-quality nuclear medicine procedures.
- Provides feedback on image quality.
- Compiles QA data and maintains exam protocols.
- Coordinates with other departments on issues.
- Recommends and manages equipment needs.
- Oversees staff training, hiring, and evaluations.
- Handles disciplinary actions as per the facility handbook.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years as a Nuclear Medical Technologist.
- Three years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience including one year of work-lead or supervisory experience.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related field of study.
- License and or Certification
- Must be ARRT (N) or CNMT certified.
- Must obtain a license from the Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the state of Maryland.
