Speech Language Pathologist ( SLP )

MLR is searching for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) that will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. This role involves developing personalized treatment plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and delivering high-quality care to patients across various age groups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Use appropriate assessment tools and techniques to determine the needs of each patient.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Set measurable goals and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure progress.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to address specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and educators, to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and provide guidance on strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or educational setting is preferred but not required. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
